Welcome, Summer Interns!

We are thrilled to welcome our 2021 summer interns to the Hotspex team!

Konrad Richards, Research Associate Intern
Konrad is a student at the University of Toronto, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics with a double minor in Mathematics and Economics. In his spare time, he enjoys learning about financial markets, practising my coding skills, learning new languages and playing tennis. When asked about his internship at Hotspex, he had this to say: “I’m very excited to start work at Hotspex and can’t wait to see what new ideas I will be exposed to this summer.”

Matthew Hansen, Research Associate Intern
Matt Hansen is from Halton Hills, Ontario and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph in 2020 and is finishing the research analyst program at Humber College through his placement at Hotspex placement. He is a big sports fan and love the outdoors. When asked about his internship, he had this to say: “I am looking forward to getting to know more of you and spending my summer here at Hotspex!”

Max Livingston, Research Associate Intern
Max is an undergraduate student at the University of Western Ontario pursuing a dual degree in International Relations and Business. His interests include English, American and Russian Literature, Stakeholder Theory, Market Research (of course!) and Political Philosophy. When asked about his internship at Hotspex, he had this to say: “I am thrilled to be working at Hotspex and can't wait to see what the summer holds!”

Giulia Giannaris, Research Associate Intern
Giulia is a new grad with a Bachelor of Business Administration and specialization in Marketing Communications from Wilfrid Laurier University. Her past internships include roles at RBC and AMEX which she thoroughly enjoyed. Beyond work, Giulia loves to travel, try new cuisines, and staying active outdoors. When asked about her internship at Hotspex, she had this to say: “I look forward to joining the Hotspex team and getting to work with you all over the summer!”

Mallory Kropf, Research Associate Intern
Mallory obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Ryerson University, which inspired her interest in Social Research. After finishing her undergraduate degree, she pursued her passion for travelling, meeting new people, and exploring new cultures. She moved to Australia for a year, where she worked and travelled to nearby countries. The beginning of the pandemic shortened her travels abroad but also led her back to pursue her journey in the Research Analyst program at Georgian College. When asked about her internship at Hotspex, Mallory had this to say: “I am excited to gain hands-on experience in Market Research at Hotspex. My love for research stems from understanding the needs of people, brands, and cultures on an extensive level. I look forward to starting my career in the field of research as I believe it allows for actionable change and the ability to make a difference in many lives.”

Matthew Hutchison, Research Associate Intern
Matthew Hutchison is currently studying Business Management specializing in Consumer Behaviour at Western University. Born and raised in Toronto, he is a avid sports fan having played both Baseball and Hockey competitively. Matthew is also interested in Business Law, Psychology and Sociology. When asked about his internship at Hotspex, Matthew had this to say: “I am extremely excited to be joining the Hotspex team and learning more about the world of market research!”
